CHRONIC SOUNDSYSTEM 519 presents "The Emperor's New Clothes" Tour!

KLUTE (UK) - COMMERCIAL SUICIDE, METALHEADZ

Tom Withers (Klute) has been a musician all his life. As Tommy Stupid he released his first 7" at age 15 with his legendary skate punk band, The Stupids. They went on to release several more 7" and Albums with Children of The Revolution and Vinyl Solution Records, John Peel Sessions, and tour the world with their live show.

After a well deserved sabbatical and discovering house and techno Klute was born and Drum and Bass was the music. Initially working for several years with Certificate 18 Records he eventually established Commercial Suicide in 2001, releasing music from a range of artists. Outside the label he continues to DJ and release music with others such as Hospital, 31, Soul:R and Metalheadz.

When not making Drum and Bass, Tom likes to make techno and play drums in his punk band. When not making music, Tom likes to go to skate parks and tend to his beloved allotment.

FRANKIE GUNNS - PLAY DE RECORD, THEORY
BIO: Frankie Gunns started his journey 15 years ago buying hip hop and house records and listening to the local radio station and hearing the sounds of James St. Bass on the Hardrive show. He then heard the sounds of the hardcore. What cemented his passion towards what we know as Jungle and Drum and Bass today, is when his friend Kevin (Moonstarr) handed him a Dr. No tape in the summer of 93 and it was all over!!! Hooked for life!!! Major influences back in the day came from Dr. No, Medicine Muffin, Jungle PHD, Ruffneck, Marcus, and anything Reinforced!!! Over the years he became heavily influenced by the sounds of a Guy called Gerald, Underground Resistance, 4-hero and anything involved with Reinforced records, Metalheadz, Photek, Source Direct, Luke Vibert...You know the score! Working alongside Moonstarr and Mano from Public Transit Recordings he learned how to throw jams and work with a record label and refine his skills in those areas as well as dj'ing at events. Dave Cooper is a very pivotal person and great friend in Gunn's life hooking him up with a job at the legendary Play De Record in Toronto, Canada. Where he now works full time as manager as well as having many residencies all over the city of Toronto thanks to his wide knowledge of all types of music! He is involved in his own production company throwing parties under the name Threshold Productions, is partners in helping with the record label Make:Shift Recordings and helps out with the Selection nights with Theory at the Guvernment nightclub. Recently coined as one of Denise Benson's top ten people in Toronto music for 2006 to watch out for!!!

Awwww... why does it have to be Skybar in cambridge and not Skybar in Guv.

Regardless, I might be a possibile show at this.

ALL YOU MINIMAL/TECHNO/HOUSE BITCHES LISTEN UP: even though this guy is normally Drum & Bass, check out the second CD of his "Emperor's New Clothes" album to see how versatile this really guy is. You'll enjoy it; geroin can back me up on this.
