caterpillars scare me

well, first off i have an insect "phobia"... it's gotten a lot better throughout the years though...
yesterday, as i was going to my bf's apartment i noticed a caterpillar on the door and i got scared. i tried to knock it down with my shoe and my bf picked it up and took it outside.
fast forward to later on in the night after i came back from getting a load of snacks from the store. i was sitting on the couch drinking some vodka and then a caterpillar fell in front of me and my heart raced so fast! my bf picked that one up too and took it outside.
now i don't get scared often but i will admit that i HATE seeing caterpillars and they just scare me. it sucks enough they dangle from the trees around this campus (mezzir might know what i'm talking about)
it's odd i love snakes and amphibians but insects make me nervous.

yea i'm not big on bugs, but for some reason i'm not scared of spiders lately. I mean, if they are just little daddy long legs in the corner or something, I just go over and scoop it in my hand and put it outside. It’s like I made myself face my fear of spiders. I think they are cool and I’ve always had a certain respect for them even though I was terrified of them. But once u just go pick a little one up and free it, it’s like, “oh…that wasn’t so bad”.
Any other roaches or big bugs though..i dunno.
Oh yea I freed a huge moth one time too. I used to be scared of them as well, but not any more. |

Yeah, they're ing gross. And they have a smell to them too. I used to dig them up all the time in the spring when I did landscaping...I guess the larvae are buried in the fall or some , and they mature underground over the winter until spring/summer. That's just a guess...it should be Googled.
Anyway, when they burrow out of the ground finally and come out to fly, they're ing brutal...always flying into people's hair and stuff...ugh!! *shudders* |
