| some good tracks in here. I wasn't feeling the flow in the first half, I just couldn't get into it even though I liked the songs. But the second half was great, good flow and song choice. ;) |

Ya I took more of a "housey" approach to this mix, focusing on
programming and building a good set with a smooth flow.
Starts off mellow with some good beats.. then builds to some peaking
tracks, then calms down again... think of it like the *normal curve*

(haha I'm such a nerd)
My recent mixes have all been heavily influenced by electro, vocals, and just
big room tunes, so this one (especially the beginnging) just goes
back to the basics... hence "sugar free".. oh there's real meaning
behind all my titles, not just cute catchy names :P LOL
I love this mix and I'm really proud of it! <3 |

| just finished listening. this set feels like it's missing something and I agree with boomer about the lack of flow, unfortunately I couldn't really feel any throughout the whole of it. The track selection was very good though. |

I will give a listen, but please for the love of humanity write normally(ReCkLeSs). The first impression that leaves me is just of another dj with and no skill (you know who i'm talking about and im not directing it at you in any way). Not saying you have no skill, but female dj's have it hard enough as it is, dont perpetuate the stereotype and market yourself as a dj not a girl.
Will give feedback. |

I dont see how someone writing their dj name as such can really give you such a negative outlook. Yes there are many female dj's that sell sex as part of their package but i can tell you that ReCkLeSs GiRL isnt one of them. she has a lot of self worth and morals and is behind those decks because of her love for the music. To suggest (and this isnt directed towards you) that she has no talent is completely absurd. Ive seen her grow & grow and the reaction from the crowd only reinforces my opinion and the opinion of others that this blonde bombshell isnt a playboy dj, shes a genuine dj with REAL talent. |

Review: Ok 2 times i've listened and it was better than i expected. The flow wasn't really there, but you did pretty well with what you decided to go with for this mix.Mixing not perfect, but nothing that can't be fixed. This is totally not my cup of tea as far as tracks go, but i listened without stopping so you did something right. With some practice and little steadier programing i can see the right crowd responding to something like this. All in all good job considering, and although i do aplologige somewhat for remarks that may have been insensitive, I do hope that what i said triggered a little thought. I meant it not in jest, believe me...i have just seen promoters ask a perfectly talented dj to basically act like a stripper in exchange of getting to play.
I don't see mr raibans name in his signature...am i to believe he is your Colonel Parker?;)
keep up the effort. |
