The Pvd Review

djstopngo
Fun night. Got there in time to catch the last half hour of Blake's set, he was throwing down bomb after bomb - excellent job, man. Heard from a friend you played "Touch the sun" (?) If you did I'm sorry I missed it, that track is insane!

PvD started very hard and I was kind of drunk at that point, so that's all I really remember from his first hour. After about an hour, he mellowed off and started mixing in some vocal tracks surrounded by Tech Trance and did a very nice job.

Tracks I remember hearing:

Cosmic Gate - Outsiders (cosmic gate remix) w/ Needs to Feel (Wippenberg Remix) - I think he did an Ableton mash-up here, which was particularly spicy.

Way Out West - Mindcircus (No vocals, don't know the remix so we'll call it the PvD live @ Vision Mix)

Filo & Peri - The Anthem (PvD edit)
PvD - Nothing But You, For An Angel (He followed these two with a mix of "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes, pretty tight). On an aside, I'm glad he didn't close with these tracks.
PvD - Another Way
Kyau & Albert - Always a Fool (remix I've never heard)

Overall a very fun night - Great sets by Blake & the Dyk.

EDIT: He also played Kuffdam & Plant - The ones we loved (Dogzilla Remix), FKN ft. Jahela - Why? and Luminary - Wasting (Ronski Speed, remix I think).

It was an insane night at Vision. It was my first time hearing RJ spin... Good job man! I enjoyed hearing you play crosses and Together we rise. Blake started his set with Pryda - Armed followed by Light The skies which was f****n awesome! PVD was awesome as well... It was my first time seeing him play live!

Some tracks that I remember hearing in his set apart from the one's that djstopngo listed are:

Dave 202 - Torrent
Paul Van Dyk - Stormy skies
Plastikman - Spastik mashed up with some remix of Robbie Rivera - Float Away
Rank 1 vs. Alex M.O.R.P.H. - Life Less Ordinary
Andre Visior & Dark Moon - Beautiful People
Robert Gitelman & Michael Tsukerman - Memories From The Future
Marcos - Just For A Day (Marc van Linden Remix)
Paul Van Dyk - Time of Our Lives (UK Club Mix)

PVD played other tracks that I recognized... just don't know the names.
If anyone can Id the remix of Float Away that would be great!

very original repertoire...especially Life Less Ordinary and Times of our Lifes...

Did he play anything NOT from 1999-2002?

Just curious...

Well he also played Thomas Bronzwaer - Constellation (John O'Callaghan rmx) and Lange vs. Gareth Emery - Another You Another Me (Austin Leeds & Terranova rmx) which are more recent tracks....

I think it was the Gabriel & Dresden remix. Not sure though.
