| tiger has won 9 out of the last 12 pga tournaments, and according to experts there is a greater gap between tiger and the second ranked player in the world than the second ranked player and the thousandth. now that is domination. |

You can't go past Michael Jordan imo. His playing career stats are unreal. He dominated when he wanted and how he wanted (consistently). I remember watching a finals game with the Bulls and hearing Phil Jackson saying 'Stick to the game plan - it's not time for Michael yet (to take over the game)'. Those old Xmas day Bulls v Pistons games were awesome!
The thing about him that sticks in my mind compared to so many of the wanna-bes these days is that he wasn't a bogan eg. Allan Iverson. It cracks me up every time I hear the two yanks on SEN on Sunday evenings 10-12am when they comment about the appalling behaviour of so many of the US pro sportsman these days eg. NBA All-Star game in Los Vegas this year.

Maradona, absolutely beautiful, the ball stuck to his feet like velcro. He took a no-nothing napoli side to compete with the likes of the late 80s AC Milan
Jordan I'll give where credit where credit is due. Probably an entertainer in the early part of his career
and then he was a master of defence and offense as the bulls won the titles.
And then his jump shots, the clutch shots after his second return.
However, I think the bulls success was also down to Phil Jackson, he mastered the triangle offence which wasn't used in the NBA before, it allowed endless amounts of passing/scoring options(similar to dutch football's triangles).
speaking of basketball, ffs how often do the NBA change their friggin rules? |
