i took my external hard drive to work today so that i could transfer all my music off of my work computer, and now i'm sitting here organizing all of my singles from the last 2 years.

i tried transferring some of my music to an external. as it turned out, the files didn't completely transfer, and i no longer had that music on my computer. lost a load of really good stuff, it sucked. |

yeah, my next step is to back up everything on DVDs.
having a hard drive fail or some other sort of catastrophe that makes you lose a huge amount of music has never happened to me.. but i hear it sucks monkey ass. |

it does suck MAJOR monkey ass. my HD crashed once, and i thought i lost about 2 years worth of music. luckily, my smart techy (spelling?) friend put it on an external before when uploading some new goodies on my comp, so it was saved. i didn't know that though, so i went through pretty much a major depression until he told me he saved everything. MONKEY ass. |
