i heard some magazine calls it 'nu-rave'...but that just doesnt sound right.

Nu-rave (New Rave) is just NME labelling for stuff like Klaxons and Hot Chip....

Some of it is ok I guess.

I think the succesion of punk house went something like: electro, electro-house (which isnt really electro), electro punk, punk house.

its basically the same , but electro house got really big, really quick and turned a lot of ppl off. so what better way to get the kids back in then to label the same punk house. (i read the term punk house in a review of the riot in belgium and for tonite only MoS cd)

its a stupid name because it doesnt mean anything. punk is a way of life, not a nintendo synth under a 4/4 beat.

punk is also a freedom in music. well traditionally anyway.

and then theres (the new) emo, which is now just pop-punk (take punk and give it padding so noone gets hurt, whinge about some girl that dumped you kinda stuff. nothing political here please). emo was cool once upon a time, when it was a real genre, not a tag to give to anyone that has a fringe and wears black...
