Yeah, I agree. It might contain a bit of the ending to Pascal Feliz - From Inside the Speaker but I think it's all Bright Morningstar.

steve, a piece of somewhat thick sponge, soft foam or soft but thick fabric like wool over the mic would work well, no accidental chance of moving your finger over the mic to create even more noise and doesnt ruin your camera like tape would

Covering the mic hole doesn't make any difference in my case. Somehow the bass still finds a way to get in. Apparently Canons are crappy with loud music. Here's a discussion that might answer some of the questions: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...69&forumid=1&s=
