if im not mistaken, cz is sold out, so the 'exciting big announcement' could mean more tickets at $180 each :haha:

also, I read this on the CZ Forum..i think its a good idea to have a look at it.
My company produced a concert at GM Place a year ago; this sort of event costs a hell of lot of money to produce. The basic cost of venue rental, security, staff, and house technicians goes over $120,000. Add artist's fee, staging, backline, rider, transportation, accommodation, advertisement etc… and you could easily go beyond $250,000-$300,000 to produce a show at GM Place. Note that the promoter will be paying 90% of this money in advance before even seeing a penny of ticket sales money. With such investment and considering the risks involved, its logical that he wouldn't want the scalpers to take the money that could be his. |
