The unofficial Tiesto at GM Place - August 25 thread

I was just speculating. Note the question marks.

Maybe they're opening the upper bowl?..
myth
I'm not asking the question mark part but the "exciting announcement" part.
myth
nm mark, you saw it from the clubzone's long thread
apri_peel
if im not mistaken, cz is sold out, so the 'exciting big announcement' could mean more tickets at $180 each :haha:

forever2day, good way to put things into perspective. once again, the only rational people are women. after all these years i have kind of given up trying to reason with these boys :D

Yup. Good guess :)

also, I read this on the CZ Forum..i think its a good idea to have a look at it.

My company produced a concert at GM Place a year ago; this sort of event costs a hell of lot of money to produce. The basic cost of venue rental, security, staff, and house technicians goes over $120,000. Add artist's fee, staging, backline, rider, transportation, accommodation, advertisement etc… and you could easily go beyond $250,000-$300,000 to produce a show at GM Place. Note that the promoter will be paying 90% of this money in advance before even seeing a penny of ticket sales money. With such investment and considering the risks involved, its logical that he wouldn't want the scalpers to take the money that could be his.
