As big of the lure of seeing Tiesto @ GM Place is, the price in comparison to the length of the show is just too big of a hurdle to get over, and as such I will very sadly not be attending this show.
And the “everything is more expensive in Vancouver” is just a big cop-out. There are ways around that if GM Place cost too much don’t have it there (i'd go to the commodore again) or at least hold it for longer so arguments among customers like this don’t arrive.
Additionally I think the 2.5 hours set might derive from the fact that Vancouver is getting him on his fourth night in a row of playing, and I don’t really see Tiesto doing his own scheduling so someone just probably thought “oh he’ll be tired” and worked an agreement out with the promoters for the short set.
Whatever the case I don’t care I just wanted to make this thread of bitching as long as possible. |

sasha tix were 50-60 plus service for the show at celebrities... but thats beside the point...
the point is.. GM place is not a cheap venue to use for an event like this... JT was just a comparison to show what ticket prices may look like when a really BIG celebrity does a show there and keep in mind his concert is likely to end around 1030-1100 max.
seeing how shows of tiesto's calibre at various other venues are already priced so high... quite honestly, i am taken by surprise that tickets for tiesto at gm place don't start at $1xx.xx per ticket for the floor.
anyway, thats just my point of view. i'm not about to change anyone's opinion. this is just the same old that people always complain about. i'm not about to get into another one of these pointless debates, especially when no real course of action to counter the higher costs ever takes place after them.
the bottom line is if you have money and want to spend it on the show.. then go and have a good time... if the price is not right for you, there are other alternatives for a saturday night. |
