Edit: Is this new, I can't find any news on it?
It happened two years ago but the police let the video out recently.

Yes.

to me, it did look like it might have been an accident. He shouldn't have had his gun drawn in the first place, but it doesn't look like he just aimed & shot. Also, the narrator claiming that this is even moreso the fault of the officer, since his tardiness put him there at that time, is irrelevant. That would require the validity of the assumption that tardiness results in murder. In any case, it's unfortunate and looks like it got out of hand and could've been avoided, but to instantly claim that the guy's guilty of murder and that there's a huge cover-up is a bit of a stretch. The fact that they concealed the video isn't surprising. Sounds more like somebody wants to get on a charge against the police and, while they've come close, they haven't gotten ahold of that gem of a case with which to do it.

The cop is at the very least guilty of manslaughter and gross negligence.
The video is obviously narrated by someone with a pretty set agenda, but either way, I'd like the know what the consequences for the officer were.

hmm...I'd need more to go on to tell just what his role/fault were in the case. Just going by the video and what was said, though, it certainly seems possible to me that it could have been an accident. Like I said, I don't know why he had his gun drawn to begin with (maybe someone else had a weapon), but it didn't seem necessary. Just jumping to a conclusion, when we can't even see the fight or tell what happened to cause the shot is a bit rash, though. The one thing in all of this that he's clearly guilty of, though, is falsifying his report about the event. That doesn't mean he's guilty of everything else--just meant he felt guilty about something. Shooting someone for any reason could cause that.

NO CONSEQUENCES. He was given a raise and praised for his bravery.

I knew somebody was going to say that, since that's exactly the point that the narrator is trying to convey, despite the fact that it's [most likely] inaccurate.

wow you cant even trust law enforcement these days, everybody is corrupt, i dont get how they were so casual about it, the guy was just shot in the head for god's sake.
