BENHMARC UK's own ZIMBARDO will debut in TORONTO
alongside NATHAN BARATO and JOEE CONSlet the drums roll...
If you know your hot tunes, then you no-doubt know Zimbardo (whom you may remember from the successful production duo Piliavin & Zimbardo). He was first discovered by the legendary Terry Farley and appeared on Terry's Junior Boys Own label as 'Deadset' in 2000, remixing the anthemic Farley track 'Praying (Children of House). Erick Morillo was the next to take Z under his wing, releasing 2 critically acclaimed EPs on his Sondos label that set in motion a wave of success that continues through to today in Zimbardo's new solo productions and remixes.
P&Z moved into 2006 launching their own solo label projects to compliment the success of their combined label Distraekt. Zimbardo's Benchmarc Records launched in Feb 2006 to rave reviews, and veers out on a different musical direction to the Distraekt camp, encompassing a more electronic, even acidic sound, but he never forgets to incorporate his hard, dirty, twisted tribal roots in all of his live sets!
