Timeless

ZeJayMan
I have to say, though i've not got the time for video games usually, the best games i've ever played are Resident Evil 2. The original Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 4, Counter Strike, streets of rage for the snes or sega? Tekken 3, Final Fantasy 7, Smash Brothers for the Gamecube, Goldeneye and WCW Revenge for the N64.

I still reckon I could return to these games in 15-20 years and still play any of these. Totally timeless. The last three especially with multiplayer and some mates and a few beers. I remember having the 15 minute demo of Resident evil 2, where you could play into the game as far as you could for 15 minutes, and i must have played it about 50 times as a kid, or the summer of a good few years back when my neighbour bought Metal Gear solid for the Playstation and we just played it CONSTANTLY. It's rather contrived to have "fond memories" of games, but it man, loads of fun.

I've not bought a console since the original Playstation and the more recent games have been on friends systems and I reckon I've missed out on a bunch of games that you would consider as "timeless" since then, just for their sheer playability.

What games do you reckon i've missed out on since then that i really should look out for if you had to recommend one? Regardless of genre, although i was never really into racing games.

Probably been asked a million times, but I used the search.

Since your into Resident Evil's you should try:

Parasite Eve 2
Silent Hill (the first and third part)

Crash Team Racing

And of course every single Resident Evil owns except Code Veronica.
