Hey everyone,
I didn't know where to put this because there's (sensibly) no forum about the scene in Southwest Virginia and Atlanta seemed the closest out of all of them, so hopefully someone here can get me on the right track.
Filo and Peri is coming to Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, Virginia) on April 21st and I figured this would be one of the best places to let people know about it. This is the first year we've tried to get a big name DJ here so we're trying to make this a huge success so next year we can go even bigger.
Now some questions:
Does anyone have any advice regarding how to go about promoting this? We're trying to hit the local radio stations, but we also need to get the word out on the internet because people that listen to EDM don't really listen to the radio in Southwest Virginia (radio rock/country/hip-hop and that's about it). Is there a way we can make this an event on TranceAddict and get a flyer up somewhere?
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We need all the help we can get. |

I don't know why Filo and Peri. It wasn't my idea and I didn't do the booking. My friend I think has almost single handedly put this thing together. He probably picked F&P because they're known, but still cheap enough for the school to put up the money for them. I'm guessing whatever AvB requires for a gig is a little out of the budget.
...and you're right, saying EDM is not exactly popular around here is an understatement. |

| Filo & Peri aren't really well-known at all save for electronic music nerds. And even then it's debatable. They're utter gash as well, but good luck with the event nonetheless. |
