| I went to see ferry at glow... obviously, thats why im posting here...i thought that it was amazing... i was the kid in the blue jeans, black shoes, and blue button down shirt standing right at the stage for almost the entire time. I handed him my metro ticket to sign but they lost it, so i was given a poster that he signed himself... I made a few song requests on my cell phone that he actually played ---- system f- out of the blue...... and ascension- for a lifetime... anyway i thought that his performance was amazing... great setlist, and he got so into it... he was signalling the buildups and the beat crashing.. he was imitating sound effects, and took part in the set..as for the atmosphere... kinda weird... the crowd was not what i expect for a major dj like him, and 9 out of 10 people i spoke to had no idea who he was until they saw his name all over the place... kinda disappointing... and only 15 to get in $ possibly the best 15 bucks ive ever spent...but maybe its because im from new york and im used to the trance crowd that goes to see dj's like ferry, oakenfold ( who has been VERY disappointing lately in terms of live shows), and those big names... so i guess the DC scene isnt quite the same.. but anyawy i met ferry at the end shook the hand of the man who used the same hand to take me away for the best club event ive been to in a while and hopefully come back... by the way.. does anyone know if the rumor is true ?? is judge jules coming to glow ?? I go to univ of maryland, but im from NY so if any TA's wanna have a TA meetup at any other events, lemme know :p |

Yep, I was there for about 10 minutes or so waiting for him to take off his headphones off so that I wouldn't interrupt him. I was thinking he'd just take it and put it down next to the other 8 or 9 flyers there he had lined up to sign but when he saw it was his CD he did it right away even though he had to hurry back to the decks right afterwards, heh. I'm pretty sure that was you I met Stix, I saw you walking away from the booth with your superman shirt on so I tried to say hey, was kinda loud though. Anyways, not a bad show at all, although I do have to say that I thought AvB was a tad better last month. Can't wait for Picotto to come around next month though. |

it was actually supposed to be tiesto on 25th, but he bailed out for a better-paying gig @ space, miami. not sure yet who's gonna replace him, kinda short-term to expect a big-name. will post more when i find out. |

haha that was u? i saw someone who kept waving his cellphone at ferry. he didn't look like he understood what was on the phone, at first. btw, that was a good mix of 'out of the blue'.. haven't her the 'innercity remix' in a long while.
i agree with u on the crowd. like i said in my earlier post, it's not the type of crowd u'd see up in twilo. gotta expect that at glow.
also agree with u on oakey.. lately, he's been kinda disappointing. haven't been to his parties, but from what i heard and the live sets i d/led, he doesn't have the same vibe as he used to. too bad, he's one of the pioneers... |
