ok well.. but I really dont think Im "there" yet either. getting closer, Id like to think, but theres always room for improvement.. here's my 2 cents. I usually use something like Vintage Warmer or Voxengo Final Master I think its called to "smooth" out the sounds - either on a channel-by-channel basis or sometimes as a whole. Strategic compression on certain sounds and channels also helps. Same goes for reverb, although that's tricky to use with progressive house sound. Easier for trance. No, I haven't been producing much trance lately... :P Also full-out mastering VST's like Izotope Ozone and T-Racks can definitely also help, if used correctly. Unfortunately, they can also hurt. :< |
