St Patty's police and firefighter fight in downtown Vancouver

apri_peel
apparently the off duty firefighter and his son were passengers in the car that crashed into a pole driven by that lady. she had alcohol in her so im assuming so did the fireman and his son, and that's probably why they got all violent with the cops

That video needs some brightness adjustment so we can see what's going on. And it does not show what happened to get the firemen into this fight, so we don't really have the full situation revealed, as to exactly what got the cops and firemen fighting (newspapers have an interesting story about that).

I live in the boonies and have a scanner radio to pick up the various emergency services (in Vancouver they have encrypted digital radios so you can't listen in). Have had my opinion improved about the RCMP and other services, they do a good job, judging by what I hear. Some of the calls are pretty good, like last weekend the cop had to chase this guy speeding down highway 1 after he stole a bunch of stuff from his wife in a divorce squabble and the guy's pickup truck was spewing stuff like a fridge and computer out on the highway. Finally the suspect's truck spun out and the cop pepper sprayed the guy and his GF who was driving, then the GF tried to get away by swimming thru a muddy swamp (on a cold rainy day). Favorite words heard on these calls: "1 male in custody" (often from a chick cop).

Nevertheless I hate tickets and Vancouver cops I am much more leary about, those guys must work on commission.
