ROFLCOPTERS!

yeah i been seeing cops EVERYWHERE lately. :|

i was almost late getting to a game to ref on monday. they were doing construction on steveston hwy taking out the two merge lanes to get onto the highway, forcing everyone over into the lane i needed to get across the overpass to get to 6 rinks. then the turn light went on and one of those car transports turned in a yellow light and was forced by traffic to stop and block the intersection. meanwhile, what held up traffic further was a single squad car blocking the entrance to the highway and he was checking each vehicle. the cop may or may not have noticed that traffic everywhere was blocked by that one damn car transport. guess they were looking for someone. guess they didn't find them because after the game i drove to vancouver to drop something off to someone and they were up and down knight st road just across the bridge. ha.

as for the video.. it 'appears' they are beating someone. appears? why would anyone swing a night stick several times 'at' someone to get them to 'calm down' during a 'scuffle'. then again the video only shows one perspective and thus the statement could still be true, but from that video it looks like a beatdown. lol.

The whole thing is just sad, really really sad .. and absolutelly hillarious!

And you can see the other firefighters just standing there
watching their buddy take beats off two coppers .. unreal.
If this was Europe, you'd have the whole squad going at eachother
with everything they got ....

and if the other firefighters got involved, they'd be charged too with obstructing justice. clearly, the off-duty fireman and his son were at fault and caused the scuffle in the first place. perhaps the amount of force and the use of the baton may have been unnecessary, but any sane human being would not confront cops on duty, even for their buddies

actually, it probably started with the drunk driver, the lady. i'm assuming there was a car accident, and the off duty firefighter got pissed off at the lady, and when the cops arrived, either by then the firefighter was being verbally abusive and things turned into a scuffle from there, or something was said after the cops got there between the firefighter and the cops that sparked something, ie the cops telling him to calm down, him mentioning he's a fireman, the cops not giving a rats ass, him getting madder.

i dunno, i wasn't there. this wouldn't even be on the news if it weren't for who was involved (in terms of careers).
