i have SBC DSL, it's ok. can't say it's without problems, but then i don't think there's such a thing as perfect internet service. go with the russian hook-up. i have satellite in the living room, and ghetto hook-up in the bedroom. the ghetto hook-up never goes down during thunderstorms. granted i don't know how it works for internet. if comcast asks, then just say it was there when you moved in or something...

I had the 25$ 5 meg rcn line for a year. sweet deal, but it was really a 1.5 meg line tops, and the upload sucks. I didn't own a tv until about 2 months before I moved out and hooked it up to the cable lines for a better antenna signal one day and found out I had free cable. All for 25$
I tricked comcast into giving me a $19.99 line for 6 months and their 5 meg is actually pushing 7-8meg with a 3meg up. No slowness no outages. My tv however is another story. Might be the box or something, but the ****** buffers and can't connect to on demand all the time. If it was a signal issue it would actually relate to my inet being a pain, so i'm not sure.
