After the great success of our first year STATIC returns for 2007 with a bang..!!
Spring is in the air and we are indeed full of the joys as we kick things off for 2007 with a change of venue. On Easter weekends Good Friday 6th April we move into our new home Club Ignition, Prestons most renowned and intimate clubbing venue. We’ll be putting Ignitions sound system through its paces with an unbeatable line up of quality progressive, trance & hard dance supplied by a mouth watering array of DJs, combining established names & local talent alike to bring you some of the freshest talent the scene has to offer.
Headlining on the night & making his highly anticipated STATIC debut we bring you an exclusive North West appearance in the form of ACTIVA!
ACTIVA aka Rob Stevenson is one of the hottest talents currently taking the UK trance scene by storm, he has had a string of critically acclaimed releases under several aliases (Astralis, Substate, Eluna, Airaforce, Solar Movement and Mekk) on some of the biggest & most influential trance labels in the world including Somatic Sense, Blackhole, Spinnin, Discover records, and most recently his current hit ‘Genetic’ on Liquid Recordings which has been supported by the likes of Paul Van Dyk, & John Askew. Rob’s expanding influence upon the trance scene has also seen his DJ profile rocket, scoring him gigs at illustrious nights including Passion @ the Emporium, Crasher @ Gatecrasher One, and also The Gallery @ Turnmills London. Rob also resides alongside Jon O’ Bir & Kev Ribbens at Conspiracy Recordings, a label that is quickly gaining a reputation of providing quality driving trance after some quality releases.
We cannot wait to unleash ACTIVA upon the STATIC faithful.
Our next headlining guest on our STATIC Good Friday line-up and yet another debutant is UK based DJ / Producer Adam S (AJS). Adam Sinclair is one of the Uk’s fastest rising stars both behind the decks and in the studio. His latest production titled ‘Turn Up For The Books’ is due for release on Diverted Records in the next few months and has already gained massive support from Judge Jules, Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Agnelli & Nelson, Ian Betts + many more… Adam is also responsible for the ever popular bootleg ‘E-Craig v’s Ratty – Call it a Sunrise’ that was snapped up in 2005 by Spinnin / RESET Records. The track has stormed the dance scene to say the least and has also made it onto no fewer than 6 Compilations across Europe. Adam has also got a string of tech trance style productions under his belt inc. ‘Obsession Drop’, ‘Universal Blackout’ to name just a couple. With DJ dates and productions coming thicker and faster Adam S will definitely be one to watch for 2007 and beyond. Remember where the North West saw him first…
Our final guest in April comes in the form of Chester based DJ / Producer Mike Brown. Slide and Higher State resident Mike is welcomed to Preston for his STATIC debut and we look forward to seeing what the talented jock has to offer. Mikes renowned ability to deliver quality sets at any slot time given has established him as a firm resident at Liverpool’s leading Trance night Slide and also Chester based club night Higher State. With the two residences under his belt not only has Mike got many gigs behind him and forthcoming he has also lined up with some of the worlds leading DJ’s. Away from the decks and into the studio Mike has just kicked off his production career recently remixing ‘J.L. – Frozen in Time. With further productions and remixes in the pipelines keep your eyes peeled for the name as Mike Brown’s future looks ever so promising.
To finish the line-up off we firstly welcome back Resurrections Denby & Holt. After their superb STATIC debut back in Dec we welcome back the local lads to warm the night up in style with their unique flavour of melodic house and trance. Finally, STATIC resident Phil Goodman will be bringing our first night of the year to a close with a trademark set of uplifting and energetic trance.
We really can’t wait for this one. See you on the dancefloor!
