I think it just goes to show how spoilt we are in the UK/Europe when we think that an event like that at the BIC is pretty mediocre, yet anyone from over the pond thinks its pretty damn good. And we see the top dance DJ's week in week out and we'll know when they play a crap set...i've seen PvD at least 8 times in the 12 months, and his set that night was poor!!

Took the train down from Kent. Spent the night/morning in a hotel and took the train back.

Bit delayed I know :D

My opinion:

Second Sun: Cheesy and Gash
Ferry: Rocked it, best set of the night.
PvD: Some good tunes, but lots of ones and awful progression.
Eddie: Hate him, so went to sit down.
Woods: didn't bother, not my bag.

Madagascar was tune of the night for me, along with Galaxia and the now ID'd FerryID1.wmv, which is Lemon & EInar K - Hope (featured in my latest mix ;))

As you will see in one of my PvD clips, I was not impressed when he sampled FAA, then brought in the gash that is Anthem

I also noticed a distinct change in the trebley range of the sound system. While Eddie uses the eq's alot I thought that this was the house sound that was colouring the mix.

That would have been down to him using a different mixer to PvD, could have also been the issue with the technicalities that he faced when he started. PvD brings his own mixer along with him when he plays that has much better sound quality than the standard DJM-600 (Will i ever stop harping on about it?? No because i have one and they're amazing :p)
