Hey, I've gotten enjoyable feedback from people here about my last track. I'd like to hopefully give you guys another song to hopefully have fun with.
This track is called Carnauba. With this I've tried to go into producing sound I normally don't produce. Its no where near being finished, I started it earlier this evening. But I'm happy with it, and I feel that its strong enough now, to be put up to the test of other listeners.
Thanks!
Matt Blair

It's gonna be huge, but after breakdown @ 1:40.... I don't really like it
I'm downloading the longer, 4th version... I'm really curious now.
edit:
Your 4th version is damn nice now... how can you increase the beautyness?!? ;) |

Very good track. The introduction is short and good, the synths are introduced fast... good.
The first break is good. That low string type bass works well, although I think adding a filtered string pattern would improve it. The re-introduction of the drumbeat is powerful. nice. The only complaint I would have is that it gets too complicated. You obviously know how to add FX to your synths, and they sound very professional, but at times there are too many things going on at once. You can try laying just a background string pattern with the main synth and see what is sounds like. It also sounds like you went a little EQ crazy on your lead.
Breakbeat is ok, I guess, although I'm not really a fan of it in trance.
Quite good overall. |
