What the heck are you all talking about?
The show is SOLD OUT. These are our door sales tickets that we were planning on releasing at the door.
We're just back from Miami and seeing that the event is sold out, decided to completely sell out the event in advance rather than having any door sales tickets at all.
This venue is a lot of money - as much as some nice cars. Add that to Armin's fee and our production/staging and sound budget which is 5 digits itself, and you have an extremely expensive show to produce. It is what it is.
Aside from you 5-6 peeps whining here, we clearly have 750+ other people wanting to go.
To further - we aren't a non-profit company so I'm not going to apologize for after covering the enormous expense of the show, wanting to make a bit of money as well. We do have bills to pay. |

I'm not even gonna touch this topic again, it's the same old
back and forth. I remember paying $35 for the same Armin
show at Plush back in September 2005. That was only 2 years ago.
What the F* happened? At this rate you can safely calculate Armin
tickets will be $95 in less then two years time(if not sooner).
And people will still buy them.
btw, Armin tickets @ the GUV (toronto) are still $30.
Just as they were 7 years ago. |

I agree that price is very high but you have to put things into perspective.
Some Logic behind price increase for you whiners:
1. Armin’s Booking Cost has probably easily doubled in the last few years as he has climbed the dj list and has become more known.
2. Vancouver cost of living has risen drastically over the last two – four years.
a. Prime example is real estate market.
3. In places like TO (the GOV) you can hold over 5,000 people @ the venue, so promoters can afford to cut the price per unit and make their profit in volume rather than price of individual ticket sale. Not to mention the alcohol sale profits for the GOV.
4. No one is forcing you to buy the tickets. You don’t drive a S500 or a M5 if you can’t afford it do you? Then don’t buy armin tickets and don’t come to the show if you can not afford it.
Sorry people I agree that prices are very expensive but hey, that’s life, no point complaining about it, you can go to local talent or twisted’s local club nights for fraction of the cost if you can not afford the international dj nights. Music is still good. |
