Attention ALL music lovers!
FIRE:AID - 24 hour musical festival benefit featuring over 60 of the top local Acts & DJ’s, with representation from almost all genres!_ Read on.......
In 2007 members of the musical community are joining forces to raise much needed funds to help support in combating Victoria's annual bushfire battle._ We showed the rest of the country and the world what we could do for an overseas tragedy, with $17,000 being raised through the successful Beat: Aid benefit for the Tsunami, now lets show them what we can do and how well we can do it for our own backyard._ This issue has struck so many of us personally, with family members and others being affected by this bush fire season, so come on and help us help those that's tireless efforts over and over save thousands of homes and injured animals.
To be held at Miss Libertine, 34 Franklin Street, (CBD) on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th March, Fire Aid will feature a diverse cross section of music, with quality representation from almost all genres, including Elektro, Breakbeat, Drum & Bass, Progressive, Techno, Hip Hop, House, and Live music._ There are even a few international acts is the pipeline that are bound to satisfy!!_ If you like music, you are bound to find your taste at some point during this display of Ol Melbourne Towns talent, support and dedication._
Walls in your apartment looking a bit bare?_ The benefit will also offer a fine selection of donated art pieces, including photography and stencil art, graciously donated by local Melbourne artists._ These pieces will be auctioned off on Sunday afternoon, with Jazz musicians performing on the front porch of the venue._ The Auction will be chaired by a special guest, so stayed tuned and be prepared!!!
Funds raised will be donated between the hardworking members of the CFA and Wildlife Victoria.
Entry is an amazing $15 with ALL proceeds going to the charities._ We note that all involved in this wonderful event have donated their time, efforts and sponsors for free._ This one time fee gives you the opportunity to return at any time during the 24 hour period._
