do you go to bars to meet people?

my friends keep telling me that i should go out with them one night to a bar and meet some new people since i know like no one.
im pretty quiet around strangers since i know nothing about them and i dont know what i can say to them.
what should i do? |

I say do it. If you go out with your friends, you have a good chance of meeting people with similar interests to yourself, as you most likely have similar interests to your friends.
Depends on the bars though - What city are you in?
Edit: And what bars are they planning to take you to? :p |

it's not a goal i set for myself when bar hopping, but i don't put it past me. i've met cool people at bars and clubs. actually i met my whole current crew of friends at Space afterhours. cool group of ppl actually.
if everyone has that mentality like, "ew, why would u want to meet someone at a bar"...well, just take a look at yourself. you're at the bar aren't you? and what's so bad about you? :p |
