DARKBEAT PRESENTS PHIL K - FRIDAY MARCH 2 - BROWN ALLEY

RE-LIVE THE GLORY.

Phil has been labeled as one of, if not the most technically-skilled DJs in the world. With a fan base ranging from James Zabiela, touting Phil as his "favorite DJ", to clubbers from Sri Lanka to Seattle, it’s hard to argue; Phil K has truly left his mark.

Phil's DJ mix cds have left listeners begging for more. With 7 under his belt, including Therapy Sessions with Dave Seaman and a Y4K release, fans are always in anticipation of his latest compilation. One of Phil's most notable mix achievements was Balance 004, which was voted by DJMag as one of the top ten cds of 2002, thus skyrocketing the series into the international dance scene as one of the most respected DJ series in the world.

As if Phil's onslaught of tenacious spinning weren't enough, his productions have also enveloped DJs and fans across the globe. Despite all the aforementioned success, Phil K remains humble, regarding himself as a quiet achiever, an artist with the goal of keeping electronica evocative. As technology continues to advance exponentially, Phil will be there to command its obedience. Fans, DJs, and critics alike can rest assure that with Phil K, the best is yet to come.

To say Phil K is in sensational form at the moment would be an understatment - he is now back in Melbourne - do not miss the special opportunity to witness Phil K cave your mind, body and soul.

Awesome.

Wasn't able to make it to the CD launch, but from what i hear it was a dangerous experience. You over that severe bout of tennis elbow yet D?

After 12 months of flirting with electro, it sounds to me as if the real Phil K is back. Would that be a correct assumption Darius?

aye - can't feel my legs still i danced for 4 hours straight.

i can't extend my arm straight - its destroyed.

phil was most defiently on top of his game on saturday - CRAZY fukt up deep techy 4/4 to set up the room for destruction for the first 40 minutes, creating anticipation in the room old sunny style, dropping like pan pot black dog, as well as old favourites at the right time early on which included a blackwatch tune off the old sunny tapes, then when the room was busting at the seems joel mull - "for me" to get the party SLAMMING - phil absolutely destroying the nathan fake outhouse beats tool, then kiling something else, the absolute carnage that followed for the next two hours, phil completely changing the bpm up and down dramatically on tunes to put the party in overdrive then simmer it down, hi fi bugs - don't die - dont kill anyone, general chopping and crazy out side the square mixing, and finishing it all off with laurent garnier - man with the red face. programming like a machine.
