This week on Sonar Sessions, Jussi Soro joins us in the mix. Jussi Soro is currently one of Finlands most in-demand DJs, having played for international brands such as Godskitchen, Sundissential and Ministry Of Sound as well as Finlands biggest clubs such as Hallmark, Millennium and Illusions alongside some of the biggest names in electronica. This 27 year old Finnish native comes from Turku in Finland and has been awarded numerous accolades at the Finnish Club Awards, as well as maintaining residencies at Choon, Mental and Essence. Currently producing under the names Jussi Soro and Miikka & Jussi, Jussi's musical style is uplifting trance influenced by progressive house, goa trance, techno and electro. His first release on Five AM early 2005 was a collaboration with Miikka Leinonen entitled the Miikka & Jussi EP which made record of the month in Mixmag magazine. Jussis first solo release came out on Alter Ego in the shape of the Jussi Soro `Backlash´. Since then Jussi has built a solid producing ground, and is currently remixing and working with such names as Jan Johnston and Matt Darey for his upcoming releases. |
