Guys...I need some advice...
A group of 5 of us are planning on coming to Chicago for 1 night to see Above & Beyond vs. The Thrillseekers @ Vision (Feb 17th). Since I am not from there I need some advice on hotel options.
The hotels close to Vision are a little pricy. The advantage is that after the party, we can simply walk to the hotel.
Hotels a little further away (1-2 miles) from vision, are obviously cheaper. The disadvantage here is that we will have to cab it @ 5 AM...
Would do you suggest? Will cabs be readily available outside the club around that time? or should we just pay extra and stay close to the club?
These are the 2 options I found:
James Hotel Chicago (1 min walk from club, East Ontario Street) ... working out to about $90 per person.
Best Western (2 miles from the club, S Michigan Ave), working out to about $35 per person.
Also if we want to catch some of the sights and sounds of Chicago, walk around downtown in the evening on Saturday, what would be a better choice...James or Best Western.
Any advice would be awesome!!! :) |

| cabs are easy to find at any time, especially around there. Worst case scenario, you wait for 5 minutes & pay 10 bucks to get home. |

there are always cabs outside Vision at 5am. just make sure you know the exact address of your hotel (not just the name of it) when you get in the cab.
also make sure when you leave the club that you try to get into a cab and not into a cop car. they look very similar! :gsmile: |

| Nothing wrong with walking around downtown at 5am. I've walked to Lincoln Park from State St, lol. |
