Terrible news for those affected directly by it. |
Indeed. Some good people who've worked very hard for Pure are undoubtedly going to suffer because of this.
Show of hands though: Who's suprised?
:conf:
Edit: Also, looks like Jamie Amato picked the right time to head to Chicago... |

| After receiving this article from a friend earlier today...I was intially shocked. But what is most disgusting is the affect it will have on the scene in Chicago. First and foremost, it completely erodes confidence in the clubs, dj's, and most importantly the people. Secondly, they are finished as a company..there is no feasible way to regain credibility after undermining and blatenly lying to their constituents. Thirdly, they owe an enormous apology to clubs in Chicago. Lastly, they owe an apology to those directly associated with them (thier employees...)...it is awful to think that ones reputation could potentially be ruined out of pure association with such garbage. As someone who has admired and fully embraced the scene in Chicago...and looks forward to the day he turns 21..I am truly dissapointed that this has happened. Hopefully a lesson is learned. |

i don't really understand what they are being charged with...i mean, reading the article, it just seems like they were running a business...whats the difference between what they did and when stores buy products from manufacturers and then sell the items for more, 'making a profit'? I mean, I wouldn't exactly call what Pure did stealing, at least not unless there is more we do not know. Being a law student, that article was entirely inaddequate. |
Actually its pretty clear,
basically pure would do this:
negiotate a price with the performer, saying, hey well pay you 8000.
then go to the club, alright well bring in the artist for 10 thousand.
meanwhile they skim 2000, dont report it, pocket it, and spend it on drugs, hookers, trips, other things.
their forums are down, what a shame.
another thing, Im pretty much vindicated for talking about pure from the beginning arent I?
lets see, who works for pure here, seneca, yuris, blake jarrell...are all of these guys innocent? I highly doubt that. perhaps they commited no crimes, but anyone associcated with the organization knew it was shady I absolutely guarantee you that.
so...wheres yuris right now?
another thing, I highly doubt that the clubs, agents in new york, etc, where completely unaware that 100 thousand dollars was completely unaccounted for. artists know what theyre worth, so basically what pure was doing was saying hey, either agree to this contract or youre not gonna ing play in chicago. these crobars are run by the ing mafia, why do you think they get shut down all the time. basically your good buddies are tied in with the mafia...how does that feel?
yeah and big yuris works for pure...oh??? its possibble that yuris has russian mafia ties, actually pretty likely.
while were on the topic..does anyone else find it funny that rjt has such a huge ego, yet 1)his residency was in the middle of bumble wisconsin in a little lounge 2)it closed. I saw his spin and hes a ing joke. he flails around like a ing moron, its embarassing. rjt come on down to chicago and see what kind of gets you gig. hint: youll be spinning in yuris apartment a lot.
basically aquadyne and rjt are a ing joke and so is this board... |
