Last night, I didnt have to show her anything at all. She just waved me in. ING MINT! LOL Anyway always nice to start out a night like that. ;p I had even signed up for the Pure RSVP just because I had no idea what would happen at the door..

i don't really understand what they are being charged with...i mean, reading the article, it just seems like they were running a business...whats the difference between what they did and when stores buy products from manufacturers and then sell the items for more, 'making a profit'? I mean, I wouldn't exactly call what Pure did stealing, at least not unless there is more we do not know. Being a law student, that article was entirely inaddequate.

Forgery and tax evasion are two very serious crimes. What sucks the most is that the relationships between clubs and promoters will be strained throughout the entire midwest. Now every promoter's integrity is going to be questioned, and club owner's demands are going to intensify. Believe me, this is more bad than good in the short term. In the long term, we'll see how the Chicago scene will reconduct itself. The city basically has a blank slate right now.

Hi my name is Alex, first time post on this forum.

I'd just like to say that every pure event that i have attended in the past two or so years have been some of the fondest memories and greatest times. The talent that i was able to see here in chicago was incredible. It is truly one of the main reason why i have become so invovled in the music and the scene. To hear this happen is a shame. Its is awful that at least 3 men due to their greed have tarnished the Chicago scene. I understand many of its employees were not invoved and hopefully they continue to contribute themselves. Hopefully these events do not affect Chicago nightlife as Jen Boyles of NBC and many of you on this forum have stated. I always rep Chi-town, it is the greatest city in the U.S. if not the world :). Considering that these will be the last months of Pure, i believe we should all just get buck nasty! FTW! See youz at SVD!!!
DA MUSIK!

Yea...agreed. I suppose I do owe an apology to some of the members of this board. Granted it is somewhat ridiculous for a 'kid' with little experience to make such accusations, but my words were directed at those who committed the crime (so far we know of three). Honestly, it doesn't take much for one to point out the illegitimacies of the company, and standing defiant or in defense is not going to 'ease to guilt'(that is if you were involved). Of course Pure provided myself and everyone else with memorable experiences, and I cannot be more thankful. However, this is immensely inexcusable. Although, I am happy to hear that someone has taken hold of the 'reigns' and will spearhead the company for the remaining year...I suppose much is still unknown and much has yet to be revealed. Again, apologies to those that I have offended.
