In any event, it's probably the same sound byte and quotes being recycled by every media outlet possible. |
I know what you mean. I guess I just haven't heard it enough times for it to make me feel uncomfortable with it yet. |

Yeah, really it's not like it's a big deal - I just really thought it was kind of oddly excessive. You always hear athletes and celebrities thank God, that's nothing new, this just seemed very different to me.
Regardless, I suppose I should cut Dungy some slack - it's no doubt been a tough year (or a little over?) for that guy, if anyone deserves to feel good for a while, it's him. |

| Indeed...that's the other part of why I said that. |

What I did find irritating, though, was that the Sportscenter intro montage for today started with Serena Williams saying "you gotta hope Manning gets a ring."
I hate everyone in that family, and the fact that she's having her first decent tournament in years (due to being fat[ter than usual]) doesn't justify leading off with that nonsense. Bleh. Get her out of my ESPN. |

Is anyone other than me tired of seeing either the Colts owner or Tony Dungy on Sportscenter every morning talking about their "faith" and how "God is on their side"?

I haven't been watching SC much lately, but during the trophy presentation when the owner went out of his way to make sure that he thanked "The Lord" before he said anything else, all I could think was "Okay thanks for pushing your agenda on us." Yeah, I respect people's beliefs and faiths but I don't really need to hear about it. |
