No I am not. This is what the gay community is like, they are just having fun and I respect that. You can't just come into a night for them and try and make them change their ways because YOU are bothered. That's just plain ridiculous. What you think is indecent isn't to another, not everyone thinks the way you do. Pick and choose your battles, because this is one you will not win. The bouncers will just laugh at you. As I said, if it bothers you THAT much, stay home and go on Saturday when there won't be any of it.

Such a broad generalization says lots about the rationality of your arguments.... I think one heard enough from you...

funny how when a guy and girl are getting too friendly with each other in public it's usually "inappropriate" but when it's two guys it's disgusting...

there was allot of bitching and whining about certain peoples behavior at sonic on straight nights...now the straight people are bitching and whining about peoples behavior on gay nights?

it's no wonder the montrealers read our threads and just laugh their asses off

i'd laugh too, but since i live here i'm more embarrassed than amused

Listen, there's "inappropriate" or "disgusting" behavior going on at gay clubs all the time in Toronto. Always has, and probably always will. And whether some people like it or not, Sonic is a gay club on Friday nights. As a gay man, I can't stand some of the stuff I see at gay clubs, it makes me uncomfortable and irritated, especially when I'm trying to dance and I get bumped intentionally so that some gay guy hopes I'll look up and notice him (I do notice you, I noticed you the first 4 times you hit me, and if you do it again, I'm gonna throw an elbow in your unattractive face.) But sadly, I accept that I'm in the minority of gay people. And I accept that a lot of those people are good friends of mine, and if I spent the night talking to them about their behavior, I'd be miserable. I accept all of it and ignore it. I've seen Rauhofer live before, and although I was surrounded by the same sweaty shirtless men, at a club with a flyer with the same sweaty dude touching himself (are you kidding me with that? At least a picture with Rauhofer touching himself woulda been more relevant) I still had one of the best nights ever. Rauhofer will be amazing. I know it will be hard, but my advice to uncomfortable straight people who are on the fence about this event would be the same advice I'd give to any uncomfortable gay people (like me). Find a spot, corner, nook on the dance floor (not in the middle, I hate the middle), surround yourself with as many good friends or people that you can get, and just keep looking at each other and tune all the other "inappropriate" or "disgusting" crap out. Just your friends, and the music. It is MUCH easier said than done, it's not the ideal atmosphere to experience Rauhofer in, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. For me, Rauhofer is worth it. And if you see an irritated little gay guy wandering around looking for a small piece of the floor to dance on and some cool people to dance with, please don't shoot me a look or push me or think I’m hitting on you (I'm seriously not trying to hit on you! I just look around a lot and smile too much when I'm.....partying.)
I can’t wait for Rauhofer. I hope everyone can relax about the stupid stuff, and just be as excited for this night as I am.

P.S- The security staff on Friday's are mostly gay (at least the ones I'm aware of) So complaining to them about whatever behavior you don’t like isn’t gonna get you far.
