The construction work in the cathedral surroundings of the former power plant in the Köpernickerstrasse continues at a feverish pace. The allotted spaces for the new Tresor Club are revealing incredible possibilities on a daily basis, with every hammer swing, with every brick laid, with every cable crossing… The Tresor Floor takes a deeper, more powerful and auspicious breath as the structure takes shape, and the walls are already sighing for the Tresor beat to slam into the foundation…
The enormous Batterieraum continues to be a mind-boggling experience in re-structuring and a more than worthy parent to the revered Globus of the legendary old club. Massive yet homey: this is going to rock the socks off Tresor fans who are coming from around the world to join in the opening festivities.
Not to forget the “+4 Bar” which will serve as a large lounge to slide into during the night, listen to up and coming Tresor DJ’s and enjoy a view into the colossal belly of the power plant and its seven levels of astounding proportions.

Friday, 11 May:
- Ventilation tunnels installed successfully in the +4 Bar and finished off in the Batterieraum. Will non-smokers be allowed??
- Slick, brand new wooden dance floor is almost finished in the Batterieraum – huge! The long bar is also almost finished: lots of room for the bartenders to jog back and forth between Tresor fans…
- The Tresor basement floor is literally being jack hammered and drilled to perfection. The DJ booth is already rock solid and the curved arches looking through the bar is already pure magic. More next week…
Friday, 18 May:
- The Batterieraum dance floor is finished and the walls slapped up firmly
- The ever-ready, high-magnitude speakers from the Leipzigerstrasse Tresor Floor make their way down to the basement where they will live for the next.....
- The toilet cabinets are installed and, comprising of an entire mini-hallway
- The stairwells are finished, handrails are being put into place, leading into the long tunnel to the Tresor Floor

Nach zweijähriger Zwangspause sind wir jetzt sehr glücklich, die Eröffnung des neuen Tresor Clubs bekannt geben zu können.
Das ehemalige Kraftwerk in der Köpenicker Str. 59-73 auf dem Vattenfall-Gelände in Berlin Mitte bietet uns mit seinem industriellen Charakter und dem gewaltigen Platzangebot eine ideale Umgebung für die Umsetzung unserer Ideen und die Schaffung neuer Perspektiven.
Dank unermüdlicher Anstrengungen und der Unterstützung unserer neuen Partner Carlsberg, Campari und Redbull wird der Club mit drei Ebenen ausgestattet sein: Der Batterieraum als legitimer Nachfolger des legendären Globus, die +4 Bar mit einem magischen Ausblick in die alte Kraftwerksruine und natürlich der Tresor Keller, welcher über einen 30 Meter langen Tunnel zu erreichen ist. Bauarbeit Fotos erlebt ihr hier!
Schon am 24. Mai werden wir mit einem ganz besonderen Gast beginnen:
Sven Väth feiert sein seit drei Jahren erwartetes Berlin-Comeback!
Danach wird der Tresor wieder jeden Mittwoch, Freitag und Samstag sowie für spezielle Veranstaltungen geöffnet haben. |
