the reasons behind the brawl carry with it different marketable commodities. race riot = news. regular riot = less so. surely youre not surprised by this. at a time when multiculralism is raising questions all over the world, combined with the media's natural affinity for plugging/creating race-related issues, its common sense there would be more media attention given to the latter. |

just to clear one thing up stipsy, im not saying i have more reason to be here than you, but your constantly badmouthing australians, calling them caneaters skeggers etc etc, maybe you should consider moving to greece, at least then you wont have to be around these so called "caneaters" "skeggers"
and yeh the cricket didnt get as much coverage as the fights yesterday, but thats how the media here work, its ed.
and just for the record, it was much more than 10 people, and the fact that they used chairs etc etc, makes it just a bit worse than being ejected and arrested for being drunken and disorderly |
