BIO: KEVIN HEDGE BLAZE
Kevin is one half of the songwriting/production team known as BLAZE. They have been recording dance-oriented music for over 20 years and are considered to be pioneers in soulful house sound. As songwriters, producers, remixers and artists they have worked with some of the industry’s biggest names. Most recently Kevin along with his partner Josh Milan wrote and produced the No. 1 U.S. and U.K. dance anthem "Most Precious Love" feat. vocals by Barbara Tucker.
In 2002 Kevin became president and co-owner of the venerable West End Record Company and is actively directing the legendary classics catalog which include the disco classics "Heartbeat" by Taana Gardner, "Hotshot" by Karen Young and "Don't Make Me Wait" by the New York Citi Peech Boys.
After years of playing alongside DJ Timmy Regisford at CLUB SHELTER, in 2004, as DJ and promoter Kevin embarked on a new nightlife venture called "ROOTS" where he spins with top NY DJ Louie Vega. He has also entertained audiences in United States, Japan, France, Singapore, Hong Kong, Italy, Belgium, Canada, United Kingdom and many more countries around the world. His mix of House, Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop and Jazz highlight and display his musical influences. Kevin says, "My greatest joy is to add value to the Universe".
