Possibly problem -> Stanton ATM.6 Monitor

i just picked up a pair of these, but for some reason, one speaker seems to be noticably louder than the other when the gains are identical on the back of the speakers... is this normal?
i have tried swapping channels from the mixer (Denon dn-x500), swapping cables (2m Monster XLR to XLR) and with several different songs
anyone got any ideas? |

| most tracks are naturally louder on the left channel than the right. does your mixer have vu meters? |

| yeah the mixer has VU meters and are showing pretty much level left and right... this is a very substantial sound difference, one is set to -6db the other about -2db |
