MIND YOUR OWN ING BUSINESS COUP!!! lol.. kidding, yeah i know what you mean dood, dont think i havnt thought about this. I just think it sounds really cool, im not just doin this because i love kai tracid, but because i like the name, and i have always preferred 'Jay' to 'Jamie'. Okay, if kai tracid didnt exist, i prob would never have thought of it, but im just inspired by his name not by him as a (quality) DJ. Who knows Paul Van Dyk cpould have decided to change his name after the 'crap kiddie flicks' star 'Dick Van Dyk'.. purely because he liked the name van dyk (just an example)
Its not a serious thing... well it is and it isnt, i mean, maybe in a few years time ill change my name back (or to something else, if you can do that). But i just think that this fresh start will be even fresher if i have a new name... if you know what i mean.
Pricewise, flangela reckons it only costs a penny to do it ?!?!?! wether it does or not im not sure.. if it costs (lets say) a coupla hundred smackeroonies to do it, i wont bother, but for now i thikn that its a good idea and im looking forward to doing it........... and dont think i havnt thought about the 'Jay Flaccid' jokes !!!!!!:stongue: :stongue: :stongue: |

Up here it costs a whole lot of money to change your name, mainly because the government doesn't want people changing their names all the time. It takes a whole lotta paperwork and stuff. You even have to have a granted reason to change your name or you will be denied.
As for Jay Tracid...
1) I believe it's not even his real name
2) Kai is pronounced Ky, not Key (or Jay, for that matter)
3) I think you'll grow tired of that name very easily.
I think Coup has a point with the names of famous dj's. I also think you're taking this too far! And no Jeff, Ferry doesn't mean anything...and Dyk isn't a lesbian in German....but still....do you guys live in Holland or Germany?
See, and that's why I think Coup has a valid argument there...those names don't belong in the UK.
If I were to change my name it wouldn't be a dj-name but more a lastname that would fit me...so write down some names u like and "try them on" for sometime...
And say it doesn cost 1p to change your name.....why the hassle? It means every fool can go out and call hmself Elvis Presley, so it's not really special anymore is it? :) |

hmm. this is getting harder and harder!!!! lol
i know that kai is pronounced ky, Jay is just a shorter version of my name (Jamie) it just sort of sounds similar through coincidence. I am not just changeing my name to tracid because of the DJ, i think the name is really cool. Lets says for example your last name was pooface (sorry, first name that came into my head!!), and i liked it, i would want to change my name to it.. purely because i like the name, and this would mean that i would be inspired by your last name (pooface) to change mine to pooface... if you know what i mean? :stongue: |
