Different.;) Someone (ing nationalists, very small percentage and most on West Ukraine, where i live) hate them, and others feel like same people. A you maybe know Ukraine, Belaruss & Russia are the most closest by relations coutries. Languages very similar. Most people in Ukraine speak Russian (of course include me), Russians built all facilities and plants here in Soviet times. Before USSR here was only farming. Ukraine was always under someone: Poland, Austo-Hungaria, Russia. Ukraine by itself is nothing. Just territory with people who don't know what to do with it. But nationalists think that Ukraine without conquers would be a great country:D Haha, joke of the month. They fought against all: Poles, Austrians, Russians. At the beginning of WW2 they helped Nazi (they thought Nazi would help them with Russians:) ), but when Nazi started to kill Ukrainians too they fought agains Nazi & Russians by partisan methods. My great grandfather was a military, and L'vov in 40 minutes from Poland boarder. So we first knew that Germans attacked USSR and our family was evacuated to Russia. And in that time nationalists helped Nazi. Later Russians stoped Nazi and took back Ukraine. Nationalists had no way to run, so they started to hate in silence. Even when my great grandfather visited villages with soviet collectivization, partisans attacked house when they were, but hostess helped them to escape.
So historicaly, we have small annoying couple of people who hate Russians, and other people who hate those ing nationalists. First more on West Ukraine and Central, South, East & north are the second. But it doesn't mean that people here scared of nationalists or speak russian. I speak Russian everywhere, and if someone say something about it to me i would beat him. In Ukraine all people understand Russian, but not all Ukrainian. ;) In south part someone can not understand something if you say him in Ukrainian. In south like Odessa, Crimea 100% people speak Russian. In Kiev more than 80%. East almost 100%.
And i want only Russian speaking girlfriend, also many Ukrainian speaking girls can speak Russian too if you speak Russian. I like that. And i will take her with me when i will leave that stupid country. I wanna a little Italy with sweet people nice language and beautiful black hired girls!
