Embryon
proudly presents
History of Hardcore:
Year Five
Every year, we got back to our roots and pull out our old favourites as well as the newest that just blows us away and just throw down, drink and dance with our friends, friends of friends and fellow hard music loving freaks!!!
There's NOTHING like the one and only, the original, true to the 'core
History of Hardcore series!!!
Representing the 'core this year:
Robotpilot [Kooterkore, Airhead, robotpilot.com]
Olympia is a place where riot-grrrl-ness emanates from every pore. Robotpilot put in some time there, rebelling like a mofo and being 100% more of kicker than she looks! Trust us when we say it shows in her unapologetic approach to music!!!
Fuzzboy [EmaiL]
When we even mention the word 'beercore' we always hear mountains of groans. Smurfcore had a reason behind it, but lucky for us, he plays some really good rekkids, not beer on slipmats. He's also one really funny dude.
Razor Edge [Pendeho, Rave-o-lution, D.N.A]
Wow. Really. If Canadian hardcore belonged to anyone in 2006 (who still resides in Canada that is  ), it'd have to be Razor Edge. His tracks have appeared on Megarave, Hellbound & the heavily revered Thunderdome releases!!! His latest release has been on D.N.A. - a label notorious for their incredibly hard tracks!!! We're expecting even bigger and better things for 2007!!!
He's been out touring Europe, but we're pleased been able to pin him down long enough to play at History of Hardcore: Year Five!!!!!!!
E.N.D [Goodfellaz]
Since leaving Detroit, E.N.D's been all up in our faces as part of the most excellent Goodfellaz crew!!! It's always so hard to not invite the whole crew out to play, but we haven't had E.N.D play for a while now and we really missed how much he likes his pints! :P
B7 [Embryon]
Googling enough chemical imbalance stuff makes one think you're one of the wierd ones. Oddly enough, B7's passed on the Prozac and we're just that little bit happier that that's the case! We just can't imagine B7 in fun fur, ya know?
Apathy [United as 1, Junction Junglists]
having inherited Dominik's old rekkids, ya KNOW a lot of people have faith in this one here eh? this girl bangs it out hard and will be bringing a crate packed full of Bloody Fist & Deathchant choons! oh momma!
the return of...
DJ Plague!!!!!!!!! [CSR, speedcore.ca]
he's been terrorizing Europe since he set foot there and we're flying him in to do it up as he does it best - extreme speeeeeeeeeeeeedcore & terrrrrrrooooorrrr!!! he'll be hopping off a plane and coming out to spread his own brand of fear and hard beats!!!
+ plenty more we can't tell ya about... SERIOUSLY
