a little review...
got there around 11:30 and lemme tell you jimmy van m sucked. i had to listen to a little more than 3 hours of his and wow he sucked my balls. he was TERRIBLE for the first hour, then speed up his pace and was actually doing a decent job opening, but around 2 (when sasha was supposed to come on) he took it back down and continued to suck until sasha came on around 2:50.
sasha tore the ing roof off the place. but i was already pretty pissed about having to wait longer and space was more packed than i expected. we ended up leaving at 4 based purely on the crowd that was there.
lemme elaborate... SPACE IS TURNING INTO A HOLE! yeah, you read that right. every ing person in that club was WAAAAY too ed up. people need to learn how to control themselves. back in the day at least half of those ing etards and ghb tards and meth heads woulda been kicked out and blacklisted. to be completely honest, i think space knows its moving soon. so they really dont care. they let anyone in, dont kick them out and are just making as much money as they can before they have to move. which sucks ass for me because space is losing the little class it had. if space is like this, i WILL NOT be at armin. i WILL NOT be at space for wmc. id rather do smaller clubs where i know ill have fun.
i just really wish i could of stayed but the people at space ing ruined it. the sadest part is sasha was throwing down the dopest set when we walked out. :( i paid $25 to get hit in the head with a water bottle 4000 times and kicked in the back by some dumb blonde bitch on the box, to have some fat ass bitch rub her ass on my head while im sitting on the box, to be bitched at cuz i kicked someones purse on the floor (who the puts a purse on the floor at space?!), to be fallen on cuz some dumb cant walk right, to hear 3 hours of jimmy van crap, and only an hour of decent music. that. dont be suprised if you never see me at space again. |

| got there around the same time, and jimmy van M...sucked nuts. Im serious mcgroin is right. These people that looked ed outta theirs minds kept pacing back and forth on an empty dance floor...It was almost sad. My friend was on E and thre was no way he was acting in anyway as some of those other etards. So when sasha came on...wow...he threw down a very nice set trancy, but banging. nothing like the previous venues that ive been to. I thought sasha would be on par with AVB and Ferry, but i never caught his terrace set, I left around 430. 1 question. Where is space moving to? Oh and if your on the boards 'Mike' it was nice meeting you dude, I wanna get on one of those ducati's ASAP!!! |

ya it did kinda start off ty bc of jimmy van m and the crowd n all. But once sasha came on it was all good. n yes he was throwing down like some dark tunes.. it was SICK... n as for the crowd it really cleared up around 4 30ish (flo, karen, wish u guys coulda stayed a bit longer) n sasha just kept bringing it. like seriously its one of the best sets ive ever heard @ space. then i stuck around on the terrace... sasha was still doing great but changed up the style for the terrace.. around 8 i couldnt even stand anymore so thats when i left..
start of the night = teh suk!

I though JVM's set was good for an opener. He's supposed to keep the music low for Sasha and let Sasha pick up the pace. I wasn't bothered that Sasha didn't start playing until 3 because he plays when he wants. He's always been that way.
Sasha's set was good, but nothing mindblowing. It reminded me of his recent Zouk and Dortmund sets floating around the net right now.
I left around 6. Any idea what time Sasha got on the terrace and what time he finished? |

| All i have to say is oh my gawd ! i had a blast got there early with jasin, drank alot... at first it was all , boring. left around 8:30 AM ... afterhours was pumping !!! Im definitely doing that again ! Nikki Beach here i come ! |

What a night!!!! Sorry to hear of all the horror stories from every1 else, but I really didnt experience ANYTHING of that sort. I guess you get a mix of everything w/ that many people...
I got there around 2ish and Sasha still hadnt come on yet. Jimmy Van M really wasnt doing anything for me either. As everyone else said, his set was dull and kinda boring. It was around 2:45 - 3:00 that you could hear the sound taking an "airy" direction and before you knew it Sasha was mixing in!!!! I havent heard any recent sets from Jimmy nor Sasha in the last couple months but you could definately tell when Sasha was on!!!!!! :toocool: The sound of his set filled the room unlike anything I have ever heard before. A complete wall of sound.....it was great!
Sasha's set was really banging and considering him mixing on a cpu you could really tell his presence with the crowd and really knew how to get people moving. His head was bobbing non-stop!! I believe I left at around 6-6:30 and Sasha was still going strong in the main room. Its too bad I have a final exam at 7pm on a sunday night :whip: or else I would have stayed for the Terrace. I hope some other TAs could shed some light on how that was, cuz I can only imagine.
I'm sorry for all the party people that didnt have a good time, but Sasha was great none the less, IMO. I cant wait for him to come back!!!!! :crazy: :crazy: |

| I agree. There were some mad ed up people. LOL. People kept walking right into me. It was hilarious. Sasha was insane. That guy is defintley my # 1 dj now. He stopped spinning around 6 am, but came on again at 7 30, and spun till 9 30. was unreal. Yeah the opening dj was kind of cool at first, but he got really got old quick, especially at 2 am, when I was expecting Sasha. Like Pat, I became a little pissed off having to listen to that dude for another hour. |
