DJ Loli Interview
How did you choose your DJ name?:
I WAS always called Loli not only as a DJ name. Well i started off as DJ Angel, Then i was DJ Ola, And ended up stopping on DJ Loli, with the last name Fedun , i know last name pop sounds better but i prefer to use my real last name
You are born in Kiev tell us how did you end up in LA 20 years later?:
When i was 16 my parents allowed me and helped me to go to Oxford for a summer course, and as i did the summer course i tried to enter Oxford Brooks University there, and it worked out so i decided to stay As no one really has a career there i was very bored all the time, i wasn't after getting drunk 24/7 doing drugs and ing around, i always had a wanting of achievement in my life So i started to learn how to DJ there. After one year i couldn't stay oxford crowed anymore, was not my cup of tea at all. So i packed my bags and moved to London where i studied film production at London Institute There life went crazy! TRUST ME! The craziest town in the world, parties are not 5 - 8 hours they are 3 - 5 days There i could finally allow myself to DJ the style i like as there was a huge crowed for it Started ..djing Psy Goa trance, Tech house, Deep, Progressive In four years realised how much i hate England and how much its different from me and withing 4 days i packed my bags and moved to Los Angeles, What was 4 month ago from now
Tell us about you and your development as a DJ:
Very developed lol Had lots of turns down on my way, And i gave up half a year ago, And then everything started happening So i got back on track I only wish i could bring back my records that i sold. They have my memories
Why and when did you begin DJing?:
Did you have a mentor? It was when i first came to Oxford, i was shocked with how ty the music is at the night clubs there. U can count 50 cent as an underground there, Britney is not pop! So i came up to the DJ and asked how come he plays such a crap music And he told me if i have a problem i should play myself So i did Then he started training me on Saturdays at the same night club. From then on was always by myself What styles do you spin, and why? Psy Goa trance, Progressive, Deep house. They are my fave. I do love hip hop and yes i did used to DJ it at night clubs in London ( Tantra, China whites, Opium, Mai Tai etc) But u gotto stick to one style So i chose what i started off with.
What kind of club do you play at and what kind of people come to listen to you?:
I play from the underground illegal parties to Expensive and very posh spots. Right now doing residency at the Avalon (LA) .
Have you ever been offered sexual favours while Djing ?:
Hahah In exchange of what>?? what that question really for me? hehehhe .
What kind of parties do you visit yourself?:
I got to Awards parties, movie premiers, day pool parties, Chariti events all that kind of stuff Who are your favorite DJs and why? Hmmm me me me ... who else... me? I adore the work of Infected Mushroom, Well obviously .. Duh.
Do you think men and women spin differently?:
Oh yeah! Absolutely! Maybe they spin the same but we choose different music, and also most female DJ's have fake boobs so its kinda hard for them to spin properly
So what was your favorite past gig?:
I love doing Avalon, and before that i traveled to Moscow To play at the Night club LETO, it was lots of fun, fantastic crowed. And before that The Mass in Brixton, London, I think its one of the biggest night clubs in the world

Tell us about the photo sessions you have made for magazines.
I did quite a few shots. The most fun one was for the Stuff magazine. They flew me to NY, met me with a limo service, Had a nice hotel for me, and really looked after me. It was lovely You have been ot television many times. What channels were you on and why? I was on lots of channels in Ukraine before i moved out to UK, I always wanted to be a TV host and my dad owned a TV channel, And as much as i asked him he never gave me a chance to try to work on his channel, obviously, i was 15. So i went for the competition for M1 TV channel and a came through to finals, and it was all over the TV so then i finally got accepted to cast for my dads channel. But i was mostly doing work for other networks, As i prefer to gain things myself, without anyone's help, So i worked at Super Nova radio/OTV channel then in London I hosted Chelsea TV, Being on some stupid shows as well Right now we are in a process of filming a reality on my DJ life with a producer from Warner Brothers, Jeff Luini I get offered to go on realities all the time, but its just not my thing, i think its a quick fame for nothing.
What kind of person are you?
I am kind and sweet, ill be there if my friends need me. Also i always need affection, well not always sometimes i don't want anyone even to talk to me I love psychology so love analyzing people and help them getting out of their troubles
Do you consider yourself as a lucky girl?:
I guess La treated me as a very Lucky one. I came here 4 month ago and already DJ at one of the most famous night clubs, and working with a Great producer
What helped you and what stood on your way through your lifetime?
My mom helped me a lot What ever i did she was giving me moral support, she is like my best friend The fact that i am independent and that i am not afraid of new directions really helped what stood on my way? Cant really answer whatever stood in my way at the end worked out for better
Tell us one of your realized dreams and one that you haven't realized ?
What i really want is for people when they here ,my name to shout out : Yeah! That's a girl who does amazing music! I start dancing whenever i hear it. also really want to finally do a big budget feature film.. But all takes time u know?
What do you know about Los Ageles?
I love the weather, Love the palm trees, Love the site seeing, and the variety of arias. Also adore New York. Great place
