So i am having problems on connecting my mixer to the computer, i successfully have 2 inputs going in from my computer, one output going to my speakers and the other back into my other soundcard. But when ever i try to record the mix i just hear songs play together differently then I mix them on the mixer. Can anyone please help me?

BTW i have 2 soundcards one Audigy 2 zs platinum and an onboard soundcard.

i'm not to sure what your setup is like but I just go from the mixer output to the input on my computer. My mixer has 2 master outs (1 to the speakers and 1 to the computer)

This is probably due to have two inputs connected to your pc. You are probably hearing both tracks playing unmixed. Are you trying to use your pc as a machine to mix with (ableton/traktor) or are you using it for recording purposes only?

Well i actually am trying to use it for both, i play around in virtual dj and record it using adobe audition 2

I see. This is where I step out of my technical comfort zone, as I am not sure if what I will say is accurate. Wait to do what I suggest, because someone may correct me. I think you need to do ASIO routing. Because you have a normal soundcard you will need to get a driver called ASIO4all (I think). Then you can route the inputs/outputs you your speakers, headphones, mixer, or whatever you and not hear the tracks unmixed.

Describe what you mean by differently?

Well I just hear the two songs playing normally together with no change in volume, and the use of eq's is not heard. So its like I am just playing two songs at the same time, overriding each other.
