Latency problem...

this might be in the grey zone but im posting it here, since its most likely the producers that know sound cards..
Okay, so ive hooked my turntables up to my mixer, mixer out --> Soundcard.. I have a m-audio audiophile 192 card..
sooo the problem is, when i open sound forge, and i press record to get the monitor function, the sound in my monitors are maybe one or two seconds behind what i hear in my head phones, that i have attached to my mixer...
so, i tried reducing the latency down to minimum (64) in the m-audio control panel, didnt help, i tried using cubase instead.. there i had the problem that i couldnt hear anything while i was recording.. i tried hitting that yellow monitor button but to no help...
anyone knows what the problem might be?
when i used my old sound card, i never had this problem..
and that was a ty onboard thingie..
so to clarify:
Mixer out-> In L/R
Main Out R/L -> Monitors R/L
Plz help me lol |
