Greetings,
A friend of mine is going to Gottingen, Germany for an education abroad program. He lives in California, in the U.S.A. right now. He wants to know how the trance music scene is over in Gottingen or in that area. He wants to know what clubs are around there and what radio stations to listen to. Where can he see such djs as blank & jones, atb, paul van dyk, tiesto, or armin van buuren play? Thanks for your help in advance. (A response in english is much appreciated) |

I have to say, I think Göttingen is Nomansland :(
I don´t live in that area, so i don´t know exactly what´s there going on, so i cant help u much :/
Djs like Blank&Jones and ATB play often in Germany, probally also in this area, although i don´t know any Partys there. Seeing Armin van Buuren in Germany is impossible, he isn´t booked for this Year. He has to got to the Netherlands for this (probally 4 hours by car). The same for Tiesto.
Paul van Dyk is also very difficult to see in Germany. He mostly plays on big Events (Mayday, Loveparade) or in Berlin.

I`ve never been to Göttingen myself, but a friend of mine (a non trance believer...) studies there and from what he says it must be quite a good place for an education programm but I don`t know anything about the trance scene in Göttingen.
But I think you can listen SSL (Radio) there. They host some good shows sometimes (Dumonde a few weeks ago) and there probably should be a good chance to see some (german) DJ`s if you take the effort to travel a bit by train. When is your friend going? He might want to go to Mayday in May and Loveparade in June.:) |
