Here's a new mix for everyone to check out. I had a great time putting this together and I haven't been this excited about a group of tracks in a very long time. I start things off on a bit of minimal note, then I move towards some chugging house that helps really sustain the energy. I ride that out for a bit then move into more of a peak-time feel for a few tracks. I guess you could say the concept of this mix is similar to an opening set in the club. I hope everyone enjoys the mix, but regardless of enjoyment, feedback is welcome and hoped-for. :wink:

sick.... just bought this release off beatport recently.... 2001 release date .... still better than most of the stuff getting released now a days even though music is getting better and better.. releases wise hot fire is starting to come out.
anyhow the beggining was kinda minimal.. too minimal not my style. after a while it got better.. very good set just mostly not my style A+ still (y) |

Ok you know I heard it and I am your worst critic. :)
I have to agree with Mr. Bean and cheese over tortilla chips up there.. A bit to minimal for my tastes at the start. Kind of your MO with a bunch of your non-club mixes but this one was a bit to long of a start up. Solid mixing throughout and a good tracklist. I found it to be a bit techish for my personal taste but I like the flow and the direction that it took. I think I will listen again this morning and while I am at my computer working and give a more detailed review. Good job overall and it does show your range and depth that I have come to expect from ya! A- after the first listening.... Lets see if it will grow on me and turn into a solid A after the second listening.
P.S. I can hear Kiki over your shoulder while you are mixing saying "Play me the Ali McBills song, babe!" It is all good, I love that track too... |
