So my friends psp has been worked on, we successful downgraded the firmware to 1.5 and loaded dev hook on a memory stick. was able to squeeze in about 10 games on a 1gb card for some old snes games.

just started gathering some iso's but found them to be HUGE in size. I'd imagine mostly due to graphics for some of the newer games, wanted to know if anyone had any idea about ISO compressing and playing them on a psp.

not really dude. i'd just stick to old school emulators. they just released a really good NEOGEO arcade emu that runs fullspeed on the psp. check out qj.net. i guess other than buying a 4 gig memstick, there's really not that much you can do to it other than homebrew.

ok im still pretty new at this and i've done some reading here and there. the emulators and old roms i think i understand, just the newer stuff [via UMD] type of games are the ones that im finding as iso's and are normally 1-2GB in size?

I can get my hands on a 4GB no problem.

not exactly sure, i don't really play new psp games. i'd assume about 1gig or so. that's why i'd personally stick to the old school , because paying $150 or so for a 4gb memstick to put 3-4 psp iso's on would cost almost as much as just buying the games outright (though i guess you could just swap them out of your memstick whenever.. lots of bull though) there's definitely no way you can compress psp iso's.
