From the people who brought you Mixed Bag comes Toronto’s only, monthly Liquid Funk night, SoulFULL.] Hosted on the 3rd Friday of every month at the recently renovated B-Side (above Fez Batik), enjoy the more melodic, soulful side of Drum and Bass in a mature, friendly environment where the music speaks for itself. To add some variety, each night will kick off with a Reggae/Dub set, which continues to have a strong influence on the Liquid Funk/DnB sound.
So join us on Friday Nov 17th for the best of Liquid Funk, Reggae and Dub from Toronto’s finest Dj’s, special guests and up & comers. No attitude, a nice venue, good people and great music.

ill-esha began her music career singing and playing instruments in bands before crossing over into the electronic world as an MC/vocalist in 1997. She performed all over North America with house, techno and drum n bass DJs before taking up spinning in 1999, when she developed her now trademark style of singing, MCing and spinning simultaneously. She plays all styles of broken beat and has performed in over 35 international cities with names like De La Soul, Andy C, Dieselboy, Too Short, Hype, LTJ Bukem. Her first release with Datcyde on Breakbeat Science, "Social Skillz" was released 5 times in various formats. A featured DJ on CBC and CTV, shes also spun on MTV Canada in between touring North America and debuting in Taiwan at the Heineken Music Festival.
Currently, she is working on a solo album as well as many diverse collaborations from rock to techno to funk, with several collaborative and solo releases slotted for 2007. |
