| theres a really good documentary floating around called 'Pump Up The Volume' and it details the differences in the early house sound between NY and chicago. Back then the NY sound was the more disco influenced sound of the two. The chicago sound was a bit tougher and a bit more raw sounding. Check it out, very interesting! |

Agreed. Great doc, even for those who love other styles, simply because it explains the origins of everything since disco, from hardcore to breakbeat, it's well worth the 3 hours or so. |
