This event has arisen because of a tragedy that took place on Canada Day of this year. Three Guelph area teenagers were in a horrific car accident that left eighteen year-old Kitti Restivo dead, and Melanie Perry critically injured. Melanie remained in the hospital's pediatric critical care unit for two weeks in a coma. During this time doctors were unsure whether Melanie would survive or not, and her family could do nothing to help except stay by her side. This was made possible by Ronald McDonald House, a charity that provides lodging for families who must stay near the hospital. During a time with so little hope, Ronald McDonald House created a comfortable and friendly home away from home. Without Ronald McDonald House it would have been impossible to stay by Melanie as she recovered. With her family's support she is now on her way to recovery. Melanie was admitted as an inpatient at a rehabilitation clinic and is continuing to have success in her long recovery process.

I will be there. The last stargazer party was fun as hell (and also a party-for-charity do... a women's shelter wasn't it?). I believe this is in the legion hall.

| I just talked with Kevin about coming up to play... unfourtunately I booked myself here in the NYC area. But I seriously wish I could come up and party with everyone. Great group of people for a great cause. I will do everything in my power not to miss the next one! I had a blast last year playing at that venue and they really go to show some effort on the decor and chill areas. |
