| all you have to do to avoid the supersketch area around the Lotus is to NOT go past the lotus! There's a borderline there that divides the sketch.. make your access off of pender st and stay away from hastings and you're totally fine. Anyone in their right mind should already know to avoid east hastings though late at night. The bottom line is the big crowd that came out night after night to the Lotus didn't really take to Gecko in the long run and not to mention the sound at gecko wasn't nearly as good. |

Seriously, the Lotus' location is half the charm! It's like... some crazy focal point of neighbourhoods: Tinsletown; Chinatown; sketchy town; backpacker town. Soooo much personality! |
